Questions domain owners ask first
Costs, ownership, what happens to your email when you switch name servers, how big imports work and what happens after a buyer says yes. Short answers; the longer story is on the How it works page.
All questions
What does it cost?
Listing is free: up to 100,000 domains with indexable sales pages and no commission. Parking with your own revenue account starts at 49.99 EUR/month (Cloud) or 99.99 EUR/month (Dedicated), net of VAT.
Do I keep ownership of my domains?
Yes. Your domains stay registered with your registrar and in your name. DomainPortal only serves the pages you point to us.
What happens when I change name servers?
Your domain then resolves through DomainPortal. Existing email (MX) and other DNS records must live in our zone first, otherwise email and subdomains stop working. The DNS page copies them for you with Look up & import.
Will my email keep working when I change name servers?
Yes, if you import your mail records first. On the DNS page, Look up & import finds the MX, SPF, DMARC, DKIM and mail-host records at your current name servers, shows them with a New, Already here or Not copied label, and copies the ones you tick into our DNS. You can also add MX, CNAME, A, AAAA and TXT records by hand.
How do I import 50,000 domains?
Download the Listing or Parking CSV template, fill in only the domain column and upload it; every empty cell is filled in for you. Lists above 2,000 rows run in the background with a progress page, up to 100,000 per import. Prices are whole amounts and can be imported from a CSV with a preview.
What happens after a buyer's offer is accepted?
The other side gets an email right away and the thread stays open. A What happens next checklist walks both sides through payment, verification and the transfer, with red flags to watch for. DomainPortal is not a party to the sale, does not handle the payment and takes no commission; the seller issues their own invoice.
How do buyers contact me without seeing my email?
Every sales page has a contact form. Offers and messages arrive in your portal inbox and are forwarded to you, so your address is never shown to the buyer.
What is the difference between Listing and Parking?
Listing publishes a sales page for each domain, free of charge. Parking serves your domains with ads and products, where you keep 100% of the revenue. Both need your domain's name servers set to ours; you can move a domain between them with one click.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Listing is free and can be stopped at any time. Paid server plans are billed monthly via PayPal and can be cancelled whenever you like.
How long until my page is live?
Listed domains get their sales page within minutes after import. Cloud and Dedicated servers are provisioned within 24 hours.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Your domains, pages and messages are removed from our systems. Records we must keep by law, such as invoices, are retained for the legally required period.
Can I edit my sale page myself?
Yes. Open Edit page, click any text on the live preview and type. Add text, benefit or FAQ blocks, drag them into the order you want, change the colours and hide elements you do not need. The design, price and inquiry form stay in place.
